    Major Acne is this apart of Atkins?

    I have recently started getting acne on my neck and jaw area. I occasionally will get a bump here or there but I have it in places I have never had acne before.

    Has anyone experienced this with Atkins?

    The opposite happened to me. My skin is much clear now than it was before I started Atkins.

    I do drink a lot of water (~200 oz per day), so this might also matter... and I don't eat any processed foods (incl. meat).

      I think it's the water too!

          Same here. My skin is better than ever... Have you tried to go to see your doctor and see if you have a skin infection? I had a horrible pimple outbreak one time out of nowhere and I had a bacterial infection in my skin. one month of antibiotics cleared it up.

            The first month I had terrible acne around my chin/lips but then it went away and now my skin is better than ever!

              Sorry, no help from me either! My skin is better on plan than off! Maybe you should go see a dermatologist? Or are you using any new products that you might be having a reaction to?

                My skin has stayed the same. Is it possible that you are reacting to something external like a new soap or lotion? Thats all I can think of. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

                  Your skin will get better. Your body is just flushing out the toxins right now and that is resulting in the acne. It will pass.

                    I too think this will improve in a while. Stick with it and be sure you drink loads of water. Soon you'll glow!

                      My skin got worse at first but after a few months it got better than it was before Atkins. Especially my eczema. I did find that many of my old skin care products no longer worked for me. My moisturizer became too heavy for my skin and I had to change foundation.
