Since starting this WOE I've noticed my tongue seems to have a white area, has anyone else had this? Is it something related to Atkins?

Re: White coating on tongue?
The only time my tongue has been white is when I have thrush- a yeast infection in the mouth- I get it almost every time i have to be on antibiotics. Strangely enough, with 3 months into cold/flu season around here I haven't gotten sick once, even while working in a hospital full of sick people. Maybe atkins is good for the immune system as well.

Re: White coating on tongue?
Yup that's normally a symptom of thrush, and a yeast problem, it's very common in babies who's bottles aren't sterilized properly etc. You should check out some of the threads in the Candida forum on this board Candida (Yeast) - Atkins DietJen, 39, F
