  • Need More FAT !!

    I need some tips on adding more fat to my diet.. Any suggestions?

    I use lots of butter when i cook veggies and i usually cook with olive oil ..

    I dont know if there are better ways to add more fat or if its just a matter of eating fattier foods like ground beef instead of chicken etc.???

    How much fat are you eating, Sarah? Do you use one of the logging sites like FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal to work out your percentages?

      I find mayo to be a satisfying choice. I'll mix it up with some canned chicken or tuna or something and it keeps me full and satisfied for quite a while!

        Olive oil adds up QUICKLY if you are using it. I am sure if you are using it that you are taking in more fat than you think. I find that I have to use leaner meats to counteract the olive oil that I use. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

          I also used mayo with chicken tuna and mix it with a salad for lunch. It can be pretty filling. I also use cream cheese and melt it with chopped up chicken or stir it in ground beef. It adds a different flavor of richness to the meat.

            Yep mayo, olive oil and butter are my fav additions to meals. x

              Fats should be quite easy to add since a little goes a long way. EVOO is great added to most things... just pour a little over cooked meats and veggies to give them an extra little "umph" and you the extra fat you want/need.

                macadamias are delicious and probably the highest fat, lowest carb nut.

                I love melted brie on turkey, chicken or roast beef.

                  i'm not sure how you feel about low carb ketchup, but i'm a fan of mixing a little bit of that with mayo as a dip for beef or chicken when i'm wanting extra fat in my meals.
                  it's just little ol' three chord me.
