  • Back to reality

Tomorrow is the day I go back to eating the way that makes me feel best. I have had my "last supper" which has only confirmed that eating off Atkins makes me feel super crappy and I am looking forward to tomorrow. I have been eating off plan since my cruise that was the first of October through today and boy I am miserable! I have no energy and my joints ache like crazy. I haven't gained all my weight back thank goodness but I want to catch it in the bud before I do. Good Luck to everyone else that may be restarting tomorrow as well!

    Re: Back to reality

Oh, I hear you and feel your pain! Eating off plan seems like a good idea - at the time; but then "the yucks" settle in and boy, it is so not worth it. BUT, today is a new day and the first day of the rest of your life ... carpe diem! Waste absolutely NO time beating up on yourself ... you have better things to do with your energy.

You can do it! (Me, too ... I slipped as well )

Glad you made the decision Trisan to get healthy and start eating the way that you know makes you feel better. Good luck on starting today, and I hope your Induction flu is light and your joints start feeling better soon.

Trisan, welcome back ! How's day one going?

You've done this before so you probably already know, but...since the first couple/few days can be tough I always suggest eating anytime you feel hungry ~ even if it feels like you're eating all the time. After you appetite is suppressed you'll be eating less naturally.

Keep coming to the board and reading and/or posting. I get so much support and motivation here that I don't think I'd be successful without it!

Good luck! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

        ================

On a side note, Kent, excellent job on your Atkins success! Wow, what a testimony.

          Re: Back to reality

Thank you all for the warm welcome back!

Fldoodette~ I really really hate that yucky feeling but thankfully I am confident I can get rid of it quickly. I can't wait for that familiar burst of energy to come!

Kent~ Induction flu is just nasty isn't it! I thankfully, haven't suffered a severe case of it since my very first induction. Usually, I get into ketosis quite easily. However, that said.. I have really been carb loading over the last 3 months and I fully expect to suffer, suffer, suffer.. I will be taking an aleve soon to help with the inevitable headache and I'm drinking a ton of water. You sir, have been impressively successful in your journey. Your pics are amazing! Congratulations!

Clogger~ My first day is going good so far. Afternoons and evening are my worst times of day for munching. I usually do allow myself to eat at will my first few days and then my hunger just subsides naturally(usually on day 3) and I eat more reasonably.

          Thanks again guys!

YAY! I have made it through day one of re-induction! I can't wait to get rid of this belly bloat feeling I have had since falling off the wagon. HATE IT.. the fridge was calling my name earlier so I had yet another piece of chicken and tons of water to go with. Then, popped on here and all those things kept me out of the fridge! I can't wait for tomorrow as I know I will feel a little better every day.

Tristan...welcome back. Taking it one day at a time is a good way to approach it. Heck, sometimes even one meal at a time.

As you know there is great support on this board. Good idea to occupy your time with the board as it does tend to keep one out of the fridge!
