  • Allergic to dairy

Hi, I'm on day 1 of induction. I've tried this diet about six months ago with some success but eventually after three weeks fell off the wagon and have put the weight back on. My main problem is that I'm allergic to dairy so can't eat cheese, cream etc...I also hate Fish. I'm wondering if it is really possible to stay on this diet without those two food groups. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Browneyes.

I don't see why, if you didn't eat dairy before, you'd feel obliged to eat it now.
I often don;t eat dairy simply because its a "I'm in the mood for" type of food for me. I do add calcium carbonate to my baked goods so I get ample cakcium though.
Your meals can still ne quite diverse without cheese and cream! As for fish, well you miss out on those Omega 3 fatty acids, but there's chicken, lamb, beef, pork, rabbit, buffalo, ostrich and emu, etc Plenty of protein to be had. Do keep on mind that this is more a high fat diet than a high protein one....especially in the beginning. So you might have sausage and eggs for breakfast, a stuffed avocado for lunch, and a burger, salad and veggies with olive oil for dinner.

Fat sources can come from oil, like olive oil. So there is no need to eat dairy or cheese.
