    Re: whooshies?

A whooshie is when the scale goes down several pounds overnight. Basically, the weight whooshes off/out of you. You'll see people wanting a visit from the whooshie fairy which means they want that scale to MOVE, not a little, but 2 or 3 or more pounds.

    I hope that makes sense.

Sudden overnight weight loss of a significan amount. It falls off with a whoosh I suppose. I have heard that you need a fairy to make this happen Anyone seen that fairy around?

BTW, I'm hoping for a visit from the whooshie fairy! I haven't lost anything in the last week despite eating well, drinking lots of water, and exercising almost every day!

Well it sounds like you've been a good girl Clogger. I think that fairy will come!

(Are you measuring - you've stepped up exercise so there may be some muscle coming and also a bit of water retention in the beginning - once the body is used to the fact that you ARE going to lift those weights everyday it will say - "this is normal no reason to hold on to water for panic" and you will whoosh. I think so.)

I don't know how often you change your exercise routine, but this helps me a lot. I had not lost in about 10 days, then I started doing free weight squats and the weight started melting off. I also changed my cardio as well. Coincidence?

Changing exercise routines help with your exercise goals too. Should never keep on doing the same thing over and over again. I mean unless it is something that gives you a lot of pleasure like walking the dog or shopping.

Last night I got a visit from the whooshie fairy and her magic wand! The scale FINALLY moved down three pounds this morning. Was it the hard work that finally paid off? Was it the hamburger pie (supposedly a whooshie food) I had yesterday? Was it water weight (men skip this) b/c TOM came this morning? Who knows, but I'm just glad the scale finally moved after 10 days ! Yipee !
