I'm doing OK, so this isn't really about me, other than my curiosity.... Barring a medical condition, and assuming that people stay on plan, soes this plan work for everyone? Are there people who do not lose wiegt or have better blood levels?

Re: Not concerned.. but a question.
biologically, this diet works because it is how our bodies are supposed to burn off fat, so from that stand point it works for everyone.
But, like in all weight loss schemas, people will self sabbotage. Like people who have bariatric surgery who drink milkshakes (very common).
One scenario is is someone who eats more protein than their body can handle. This excess protein is converted to glucose. While it is not an enormous amount, they will often stay in ketosis, it does provide fuel and will prevent weight loss. While the body will not be able to add more fat while in ketosis, body fat may not always be the only thing burned. There is also a certain amount of dietary fat burned in ketosis.
This is where portion control comes into play. Eat reasonable portions, don't get hungry, but don't gorge. There is a balance to look for."I'm big boned" ...Um, nobody has bones that big....

Hey baby, how do you like bald fat guys with no money?

Re: Not concerned.. but a question.
In my experience with assisting those who write to me for the past 7 years, I have yet to witness an individual who has followed the program as it is written and not lose weight. While they might be out there, for what it's worth, I have not come across an exception to this myself.Sheila, Founder of SugarFreeSheila.com

Re: Not concerned.. but a question.
I can only think of one past member who I believe was following the plan to the last detail but didn't lose much in the way of weight over several months.
So I agree with the others who posted their opinion that if followed correctly it will work for anyone.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
