    The clue is in where fibre is listed on the nutrition table, Andrew (as well as the spelling of the word - US=fibER, UK=fibRE )

    I will see if I can find pics of both US & UK labels to post to make it clear, but generally US labels say 'total carbohydrates including fiber and sugars whereas UK labels say total carbohydrates including sugars and starch but list the fibre a couple of lines later after the fat information.

      Hi guys, it's amsexy! I am a little sleepless, though I did order my vallerian root tea. I just thought I would check in and sow how you all are doing, as well as tell you all I am frusterated becuae my scale is not working. Seriously, so while I feel that I am slimming, I don't have the digital data to validate it infront of me when i get on my scale with the scrambly reader. No worries! I am gettting a new scale asap, and I can relate to what you were saying, bsquare12! PMS eww. I eat Atkins candy, I know it is a bit early for that, but I had to have some chocolate and I am still on track, so I feel pretty good. It's my 5th day now, and I am almost to my first WHOLE week. I feel pretty good about that. I noticed it gets easier as I go along I think.

          bsquare12 - Can you....or anyone else.... please tell me how to use Linseed....as my....erm......bowels don't want to work at all!!
          I am taking the psyllium husks as directed but no joy. I used these in the past and they were useless, could do with finding something good as I suffer with irrable bowel and it's not good when I haven't been to the loo!

                    Why do I feel so nauseated? I ate breakfast. I feel qweezy. Eww, maybe I need to eat again? I was waiting till I went to the grocery store though. This doesn't feel great, but I made it to day 6 YAY!

                        Could very well be the "induction flu" - happens as your body is detoxing from sugar (and caffeine if you're kicking that also). I felt achy and fatigued for a little under 48 hours but it does go away. Other people feel nasea or get headaches. Don't quit now because it means the diet's working!

                          As NYCgal1985 said, it might be induction flu... though it's quite late on day 6. I've seen it before though.

                          What did you have for breakfast? Did you take your vitamins in the morning? Did you exercise?

                            Thanks so much for your concern pretty girl. It was aweful! I think maybe I had low blood sugar or something? I actuallly was 100% better once I ate. I had spinach & tofu for breakfast with some grilled fish. (That might have done it, who knows)
                            I ate a great late lunch and dinner, big green salad, topped with turkey dogs and greenbeans, also turkey cheese burgers. And I fudged and had an orange because I haven't been 'going'. No luck yet, I'm told it was the tofu. I think a good cup of decaf wih help. (1/2 n 1/2) But hey I am on day 7 now! Whoopeee! Yahooo! Only 7 more to go before I am out of induction! Hhhooorah!

                              Make sure you stay within 3 cups per day. I'm not sure what you mean by "big" green salad. It shouldn't be too big...

                              Constipation is caused by a low intake of dietary fiber. In a medium orange, there are 15 carbs, only 3 of which coming from fiber. This is less than what you find in a cup of cooked spinach or in 2 tbsp of flax, both of which are legal... unlike the orange. So the only thing orange did was to give you a bunch of net carbs. If you have ketostix, check for ketosis... if you don't have a low degree of metabolic resistance, it might have thrown you out of ketosis. Don't panic, just get back to a completely legal menu and finish the remaining days of induction.

                              As for constipation... 1 tbsp of psyllium husks, coarse wheat bran or flaxseed meal should do the trick. Increasing your water intake will help, too.

                              I think a good cup of decaf wih help. (1/2 n 1/2) But hey I am on day 7 now!
                              Half & half is not allowed on induction. Half of it is milk, which should only be introduced in Rung 2. Use cream instead.

                                exactly! i was an idiot an weighed myself every day and i noticed myself going up and down too! i started to weigh myself every week and now i notice im going down just not every day ehhe
