This is my second time doing atkins, but first time on the forums. I have noticted that there is a reference to a "Clean Induction." Could someone tell me what that is. I want to make sure that I following the diet correctly. Thanks!

Re: Clean Induction???
For some reason people think that they can bend the rules on induction!
A clean induction really means doing induction to the letter or book in our case, no bending, cheating, etc.About Me:

Atkins board member almost a year.
ongoing weight loss phase 15-20 grams a day

Re: Clean Induction???
I have found that most of what we lose in induction is water and then we start to lose the fat.
I have done atkins so many times it really isn't funny
and each time I find something I missed the time before. If you are unhappy with your loss so far I suggest the following. Stay on induction, NO Caffeine, no sweeteners, measure EVERYTHING, get the atkins carb counter book (about $2) and double check that you are under 20 carb grams and for some people under 15 carb grams and lastly drink lots of water.
I have just posted for buddies on the boards if you would like to be one of mine that would be great.
Ask lots of questions as Atkins is great and it really works. I have lots at least 30 pounds in the past.

Re: Clean Induction???
A clean induction is a by-the-book induction. I don't do it, I have my coffee in the morning and it isn't allowed. Some folks feel that Atkins Shakes and Bars are allowed, they might be if you ask the Atkins folks who are selling them.
I also eat a Flax muffin every morning, they are filling and keep me going if you know what I mean. Some folks say flax is a seed and not allowed until the nut and seed rung, but I don't think so as they have equal carbs and fiber so flax meal cancel each-other out for a net count of O carbs. Yogurt is another one. Now I don't do yogurt for the first two weeks of induction but after that it's added to my menu as I have read alot about how the cultures cancel out the milk lactose and hence the carbs.
If you have a question about a certain food, just ask. You might get a million different answers but after you read them all, you'll be an expert. LOL
