  • Fit Day

I just started using fit day, and I totally understand how many carbs to eat a day but my question is what percentage should your fat, protien, carbs be daily in comparison to each other? Does that make any sense? You know that little pie chart thing that is on there? And I am still doing induction if that helps!

    Re: Fit Day

We aim for a % of about 65% fat/30% protein/5% carbs on induciton.
This is not in DANDR as I imagine when the book was written there were not sites like fitday.com available to the average person. However I read that a duke's university study analysed the menus for induciton in Dr Atkins books and the percentages worked out at those numbers.

However if you stick the guidelines and eat up to 20 net carbs (most of which are from your vegetables) then you wont be far out I bet.

I was amazed to look back on old lists in my notebook and find that when I logged them into fitday (after I discovered fitday and ADBB about 6 months into my Atkins journey) they worked out roughly 65%/30%/5% without me having known anything about those numbers!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
