  • Ketostix & Induction & Sagging Skin

    Hi All,

Im new here as some will know and I am now properly and fully (I hope) in induction phase

I lost 5 pounds of weight since before being in induction, is what average?

Also I went and bought some ketostix, (great arent they?lol), and they helped me know I was in ketosis for the past few days.

A question I have is this: I seem to be at the moderate 40 mg/dl on the ketostix, so is that good and does that mean im losing fat fast?

Also have i understood correctly, that as long as im in ketosis I will be losing/burning fat?...because I keep asking if my portions are too big or small or if im satisfied rather than binging.

Also will I get sagging skin from losing weight? and if so how can I prevent this and any stretch marks or cant i?

    Thank you

    Adam-UK

ps: I just seen theres an induction forum here so im going to repeat this there too, I apologies about this, im not sure how to link or repost etc. thank you

An average 14-day induction loss is said to be between 5% and 10% of what you hope to lose, Adam.

So for someone with 100 pounds to lose 5 pounds lost would be at the lower end of 'average', for someone with 20 pounds to lose it would be way above average!

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Lots and lots and lots of water, lots of exercise, dry brushing and lots of moisturising - thats definitely helping my skin "bounce" back.

        Good luck!

Dry Brushing sounds kind of neat. I get dry skin in winter anyway and the extra stimulation and moisturizing can't do anything but help.
