    Hi all,

    I was hoping I could get some of your opinions. I've been on induction for a couple of weeks and am finding that my appetite has dropped considerably as it should given the percentage of fat that i'm eating. But i'm finding it difficult to stay above 1400 - 1500 calories required to get out of "starvation" mode. I haven't been losing and by rights i should be, so i'm trying to up my calories, using fat.

    So my hope is that someone's been in this situation and could shed some light on whether it's better to go with ones appetite triggers or should I just work the program. I'm confused about the "eat 'till your full" directive.

    My ratio's are averaging 65% fat, 30% protein and 5% carb.

    I don't think eating 1200 calories will put you in "starvation mode". I'm not quite as tall as you are, but I have days in which I eat 1000-1200 calories. Then there are also days when I go up to 1800. In any case, you should not try to make every day a 1400+ day. Before starving, you will be hungry... and then you'll know you should eat something.

    You can add "hidden" fat, i.e. fat that doesn't make you feel like you're eating more. An example is oil on the salad. Frying your meat in oil and cooking veggies in butter will also provide more fat to your diet, so the calories will increase.

      Thanks for the reply, I'll try slathering everything in butter . Sounds delicious. Isn't it strange how somedays ones really full and other ones famished.
