  • Is this normal?

    When I was on the first few days of induction I could get through 4oz of butter a day and eat quite a lot of other 'good' foods along with it. Now, my appetite appears to have gone. Or should I re-phrase that to when I am in the middle of a meal, I get an over-whelming urge to stop eating, which I do because I feel ever-so-slightly nauseous. I feel satisfied on less and water is my new best friend. Has anyone else's appetite diminished to this extent?

    Now I am on day six of OWL and I'm feeling great! I managed to play a full 70 minute game of field hockey today. Although I felt tired during the game (old age!) I was so surprised that I didn't completely run out of energy. I have lost 16lbs and hope to lose another 24lbs by Easter.

    I will be worshipping at the temple of Atkins for the rest of my life!

    That is very normal. I hit a plateau for a little more than a week because I wasn't getting enough calories. Today I am having to find high fat foods because I just don't feel like eating. Becareful you don't accidently go into starvation mode due to lack of calories. This is my 5th week of extended induction, I think I'm going to graduate to OWL next week though.
