  • Saggy skin suggestions???

I have seen questions regarding saggy skin posted here and there in several posts but I haven't seen many answers. My most (um, publicly) noticeable problem area with saggy skin right now is my new smaller chin. My son thinks it's funny! I moisturize the heck out of my chin and neck and then I use my massager with heat and "work" the area for awhile! I laughed the first time I used it. I walked by the mirror and my neck and chin were so RED! Part of the problem is it's winter. It's cold and dry and it's time for extra moisturizing. I have these lines though under my chin, they look vertical, and they're annoying me!! Sadly, I know as the weight loss continues the chin will be the least of my worries....stomach, abdomen, thighs. I want to look good naked!! I have searched the internet and the results are about like googling weight loss!! I've got the exercise and hydration part down pat but I was wondering if anyone out there has suggestions. Saw the post about dry brushing also. I did hear from a coworker who is dieting that she takes pomegranate supplements everyday. Not sure about the dose on this but she swears it works. Anybody care to share?

Are there seriously no suggestions whatsoever on this topic on this site? C'mon people, share!! I'm beginning to feel like I posted this question on a Playboy Bunny message board. LMAO!! True, they probably wouldn't know what I was talking about! But there are bound to be several people lurking here that know!

There are a *TON* of threads that address this. I think it's probably easiest to do a search for it.

As for the wrinkly neck bit, a year or so ago I think LadyHawke posted some exercises she was trying.

I'll see if I can find the thread.

Found it!! Not about wrinkly necks but about getting rid of double chins, but it might be worth trying.

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

hey there I know this exercise for the chin area. It has worked for me in the past with great results.
Lay on the floor on your tummy stretching your body as long as you can.Point toes put your hands shoulder width straighten arms so effectively your body is bowed.Stretch you chin, neck up towards the ceiling and with your bottom jaw place it over your top lip.Feel the stretch through your body and neck area.Hold the stretch 4 seconds and repeat 10-15 times. It's a great yoga stretch do put effort into the stretching and the contracting of the neck muscles when pulling the lower jaw over the top lip.
I hope this helps.I found that it gave a lovely shape to my jaw area and got rid of the turkey neck that I really don't enjoy.
          Good luck on your journey.

See the article in my signature about loose skin...

Also, yes, I know several here who swear by dry brushing (you can google it to learn exactly how), and also flaxseed oil supplements.

                Adena,

I just wanted you to know I tried the dry brushing today for the first time and I can't believe what a difference one time has made!! I'm really surprised as I'm usually quite the exfoliator queen!! My skin feels great! Now, I just have to guard my body brush with my life as my black and white dog howled and stared while I brushed wanting to taste and chew the new "fetch stick" I held in my hands! Thanks for your post!
