Anybody here use coconut oil to increase your fat and caloric intake? Have you noticed any improvements in other areas as well? I dropped it when I wasn't seeing the scale move for awhile but I think incorporating it again would be a good thing. I love the energy boost a tablespoon or two gives me. I don't use it for cooking. I'm hardcore and take it straight out of the jar on a spoon! Helps me get in some extra calories during lunch when I have about 10 minutes if I'm lucky to consume food till the end of the work day.

Re: Coconut oil
I don't use coconut oil, because I can't stand the taste. But if you do use it, be sure that you use the kind that isn't hydrogenated.
Almost all of the studies from the 1960s and 1970s that showed coconut oil was bad were done using hydrogenated coconut oil. The non-hydrogenated oil is the kind that isn't "bad" for you.
So read the labels carefully.

Re: Coconut oil
I use coconut oil. I like it. I don't eat it like some people. I get plenty of fat in my diet just using oils and fats in normal cooking.
Not sure I believe the hype around it. But let me know what your experience is.

Re: Coconut oil
I've used it in the past with great results but each round on Atkins is different! When I couldn't sleep, I couldn't handle the amount of energy it was giving me. I'll start it again this week. Here's a link I refer to often about the benefits.

Aside from the energy boost I get from it, I also noticed I didn't get sick while I was faithfully consuming it. I miss that too! This week, I'm bringing it back!!
