  • Is Airborne Ok to Take?

I've recently had a month long stall!! I just came out of it and I'm paranoid about stopping the wheels that have just begun to roll again! I'm starting to feel the symptoms of a cold coming on. Pre-Atkins I would take 3-4 Airborne a day for two days and 90% of the time I wouldn't have any more symptoms. I looked at the ingredients:herbs and vitamins...plus... Sorbitol, Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Potassium Bicarbonate, Natural Lemon-Lime Flavor, Polyethylene Glycol, Mineral Oil, and Sucralose.

Sorbitol is a sugar-alchohol and Sucralose is like Splenda, right? So...it should be ok??? I will do without it and suffer out the cold if it means this will hinder my weight loss.

    Thanks for your help!

Angie, are you aware that they are being sued because their product doesn't work? That being said, I wouldn't risk it.

Let me second the previous response. They were forced to remove all advertising that said that taking Airborne had any effect. Might as well pop some non-sugared vitamin C, drink your water/soup and get lots of rest. Those things are actually proven to help you fight a cold, and don't have added sugar (depending on the vitamins you select).

Thanks so much for your responses! I wasn't aware of what is mentioned above. Thanks! I'll just stick to getting plenty of rest and drinking lots of water!
