  • In Induction, but I have lost my appetite,ok?

At last I am back on track and I mean serious business this time, it is day seven and I am feeling good, never mind the fact that I wanted to loose weight, I could no longer stand the way I was feeling...

But I have now completely lost my appetite...I have my decaf coffee with cream in the morning and honestly that could easily keep me going until about 3pm...I have to force myself to have a poached egg, this evening I ate salmon and broccalli with such long teeth, it was delicious but I just didn`t want to swollow....so all I ate todat was 1 egg, I small piece of salmon and 3 samll heads of broccalli...

Is this is phase, will it pass, I am not lacking any energy, I feel quite good, is it okay if I don`t eat so much?

I have no craveing either, watched my brother hoof down a huge slice of carrot cake and it never bothered me for a moment.

You have to eat at least every 6 hours because if you don't your body will start to hold on to that fat as protection against famine. Eat something balanced, bit of carbs, protein and fat and that includes eating some breakfast.
Check out DANDR and read how and why this program works!!!! and then go have a hamberger, without the bun of course

my appetite has gone way down hill too... I think it might just be a natural side effect of Atkins! I do make myself eat though, a little something atleast!

From what I've been reading, the appetite thing is pretty common. I also feel like I have to force myself to eat sometimes because I feel really good...but after I eat I feel even better. Something that helped me was adding two pieces of sausage to the eggs in the morning. For some reason, since I started doing that my appetite has been better...not great...but better. (no, the sausage doesn't have maple sugar in it).

Now that you have stabilized your blood sugar this will happen. THis is how you SHOULD feel. Just be sure not to skip meals so your body does not go into starvation mode and eat your muscles! Congratulations on the first step of defeating your carb addiction. Good luck!

I used to hang out around the pantry. Now I hang around my closet and try on clothers that I previously couldn't wear.Could easily go all day after eggs and bacon for Bfast.Drinking a LOT of water really helps kill my appetite. But I am doing this diet by the book.

DANDR is the shorthand way of saying the name of the book we follow here at ADBB - Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution - if you can get and read a copy of it you will find so many questions answered and the reasons behind it made clearer.

You need to find the 2002 edition as the earlier and later ones have some big differences.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I love the fact that I am not ravenously hungry all of the time! While I make sure to eat enough, I love not standing in front of the fridge/pantry and bingeing just trying to fill the emptiness in my tummy!
