  • How can this be??

I have a huge storage container full of "smaller" clothes I accumulated over the last few years but have never worn!! It's a goal container!! So, anyway, the d*mn scale didn't budge again this morning. When I started in December, I was wearing size 18 jeans. Currently, the 16's are loose. So, in desperation for some validation I decided to do a quickie try on of the size 14 jeans. I knew it was a stretch because I remember wearing size 16's at 30 pounds less than I weigh now. Apparently, the exercise is working and everything is distributed differently! The size 14's fit!! It's a snug fit in the booty and abdomen but the legs are loose and the jeans look great!! I am loving this!! Working out will be much easier today! What am I going to do with my Lane Bryant account when I leave 14's??? Where oh where will I shop???

Girl when you are smaller, you can make out like a bandit at consignment and thrift stores. It is a whole new world.

And I know what you mean, wearing the smaller clothes is a total hoot!

        You have a problem.
I sure love exercise too. I wear 4-6 sizes smaller now than I did last time I was this weight. It is pretty cool

Thank you for being a perfect example of why we should not get too hung up with the number on the scale... it doesn't tell the whole story.

            Congrats, and well done!

Thanks for the comments, everyone!! I didn't mean to be an example of the scale not telling the whole story, but I guess I am. I might just have to wear those jeans to work tomorrow. I never ever would've thought I could get those jeans above my thighs at my weight!!

                Re: How can this be??

You are lucky! I went right past most of my clothes that I had saved, thinking that they were still too small! Atkins takes off more inches per pound than any other diet. I finally got out a favorite pair of jeans that I though I would hang up for incentive. Just for kicks I tried them on, only to have them fall off while buttoned and zipped!
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

                  Re: How can this be??

This is a crazy way of eating. You seem to stall out and all the while your dropping inches. I have know folks on this plan who went to their skinny clothes just to find out they were to big on them.
2big explained why it happens, but I never understood that tech stuff very well.

                    LOL Sunny

I did the exact same thing and was so annoyed when I found I had to give one of my favourite outfits away without being able to wear it 'on the way down'!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

WOW!! You guys weren't kidding! I've measured the past two weeks, so I decided to do it again this afternoon. Should've done it this morning. My weight hasn't moved much in the past two weeks. I've lost about THREE pounds but I've lost 10 inches!! There I was dreading the measuring tape results...I was putting off doing it until next week. SOOOO glad I checked today. Some renewed energy via results to get through next week!!
