52g carbs...OOPS

  • 52g carbs...OOPS

    This morning i (by a mistake) ate some cereals
    This is my second day on atkins, and last and this morning i had lost 3lb.
    I have estimated my dayli intake of carbs to 52g.
    So i have decided to do some extra cardio today, but will those extra 30g of carbs affect or directly ruin my weight loss?

    Not sure how one eats cereal by mistake but...Luckily you didn't blow your ketosis. Plenty of fluids & get back on track. PLANNING is crucial in this way of eating. Write out your menus, make some breakfast quiche~~~know what you are eating before it is time for the meal.

      okay maybe it wasn't a mistake, but i sure didn't want to eat it
      as long as it doesn't ruin my wieght loss, it doesn't ruin my day

        before everyone else gets on here and asks, i'll be the first!

        Are you following the DANDR book? Induction only allows you between about 15 - 20 grams of carbs and you are only allowed to eat off of the "allowed" list for Induction foods.

          Hard to say how it will effect you. It is not just the carbs that is the issue but also the fact that there were grains and sugar in the stuff. 52 carb grams of lettuce is different from 52 carb grams of cereal. But whatever the effect will be, just go back to normal eating, hide the cereal and everything will be normal again
