  • Saw the doc today....

So, I took my son to our family doc today and he hasn't seen me since last year when I took my son. Apparently, my last "on the books" appointment with him was near the end of 2007. According to my chart, at that time, I weighed 248. Holy crap, I didn't know that....

First off, I'll say I weighed in this morn at 206. Seven and a half hours later, roughly 70 ounces of water later and a couple meals later, I weighed 211 on his scales. D*mn it, all.... Anywho...I weigh right around what I weighed when I got pregnant with my son 14 years ago but I sure as heck wasn't wearing a size 14 then. Wasn't working out then. I started going to him when I was about 4 months pregnant so he's never seen me this "low".

He did a double take. Only knew it was me because he knew my son was my son! So, this was his first question. "What did Mom do to drop all that weight, meth?!" I told him no, much worse....I stopped eating sugar!! I don't bring up the word Atkins with many health "professionals". I say low carbing...cut out sugar, starches, blah, blah, blah. Much more positive reaction from people. As for the meth comment, meth is on his mind, he's opening a drug rehab so he didn't intend for that to be mean.

It was cool. He called me skinny and I'll chalk that up to slight exaggeration but he also called me hot and ok, I'll take that!! It's nice someone noticed! Anyway, I thought I'd share that. Caught myself smiling a sly victorious smirk in the rear view mirror on the way home!

That's extremely cool, Everloosing... especially great because it's your doctor because he's the guy that'd be on you about your health if you weren't losing weight!!
Good or you and keep up the great work. Imagine his expression the next time he sees you!

Ok, sure TJ...there's a reason I don't post pics. Nothing to do with anyone here at all. Maybe you'll get lucky and eventually I'll send you a few but for now, you'll have to be patient. I'll send you some when we hit ONEderland. Maybe 15 pounds from now.... I've got to find the camera though! I have a funny way of not caring where it is during fat phase!!
