    Hello,

    When i entered ketosis the first time, as part of my induction, I immediately felt the loss of appetite and cravings, which thrilled me. A week later, my hunger pangs, appetite and cravings for chocolate returned. I ended up cracking at the end of the 2 week period and having a carb-filled weekend.
    Started again on Monday, determined to make it right, entered ketosis yesterday, yet was still craving chocolate like crazy and was feeling very hungry despite having 2 lunches....so I cracked and had chocolate again.

    Why are my cravings, hunger and appetite coming back when i havent changed my diet and am still deep into ketosis? Can anyone help?

    Could it have anything to do with what's going on outside of your diet life? Are there any triggers that might be causing you to crave comfort foods?

      No , no psychological triggers, no change in diet. Just hunger pangs and chocolate cravings returning with a vengeance! :-(

        Try some magnesium supplement. Sometimes when we crave chocolate it is because we lack that mineral.
        If you are hungry eat legal stuff - plenty of it. No need to be hungry.

          I agree with liv. Instead of giving into your cravings for chocolate you will need to 'train' your choco-monster to eat whatever else you decide to feed it

          So prepare lots of 'legal' snacks and eat them when the cravings start up.
