Hello all I have a question about ketosis. I have been on atkins for a little over 3 weeks now and have lost 19.5 pounds witch is great. But for some reason for the past two days I have been knocked out of ketosis. I have been eating my veggies and staying st 20 carbs or less so my question is can your body go from showing you are in ketosis according to the strips and bad breath and not really hungry. Then can your body jump out of ketosis or just stop showing signs that you are in it. I know I have not cheated and stayed under my carb amount ate my veggies and plenty of water. So I am looking for any pointers or suggestions. I am not giving up just curious ehy this is happening

THe strips are not always reliable. If you are on the plan, you are fine. When those strips run out, save your money and do not replenish them. Make sure your fat intake is high enough. SOme people go on a modified atkins and eat way too much protein. Your body will convert this excess protein into glucose. That will throw you out of ketosis. If your ratio is good, and your not eating WAY too many calories. YOu will be fine. Just my 2 cents. Good luck and Happy Valentines Day!
