  • whoo hoo!!!!

    hi.. all.. after being 124.5 then.. going up to 126.5 due to the salt in that low fat hilshire farm with dextrose.. it came off plus a pound as if this AM!! I am keeping with my meats not processed.. yesterday.. made boiled shrimp then added mayo and celery seed .. then baked chicken with skin until crispy with red and green peppers.. onions and mushrooms with garlic and chicken broth ... I had a breast with the veggies.. and the other breasts.. I will make chicken salad with mayo.. maybe add some real bacon .. chopped up... drank lots of water... and I did a treading and cycling class at the gym.. plus an hour of cardio.. next saturday.. I signed up for the body step class.. my sister started the cardiac diet... from the birmingham hospital and I took a look at it.. I can't believe how restrictive or misleading this diet is.. I tried to explain the atkins.. she says if she doesn't lose up to 10lbs in the 3 days.. she will try atkins... why is it so hard to convince people sometimes?And she is hungry and was in a bad mood when we talked.. all the best..     The cardiac diet may be a similar thing to what my mom's dr suggested to her. She's done it, and she has lost the 10 lbs in 3 days, but it's ridiculous - 3 days on, 4 days off, eating set (weird) meals... British Heart Foundation Diet

    I can't understand how it can be dr recommended to lose 10 lbs in 3 days, then revert back to eating whatever you want again, yet so many dr's are set against Atkins because you're eating fewer carbs?!

    Anyway, back to topic, well done on shifting those pounds!!

      Congratulations! You have found the key to losing weight with Atkins. The farther you stay away from processed foods, the more the weight comes off. You have the added bonus of whole, unprocessed foods tasting so good and wholesome!

        thanks all.. I did the same routine yesterday and stayed at 123.5... this AM.... the more pure the food is the better.. Lia
