    Re: Splenda Pills????

No, splenda is not a free food. There is something like 1g of carbohydrate in a serving of splenda and you are allowed maximum 3 servings a day. I'm not sure what is the weight of those pills, but a serving is the amount you find in one of those little yellow bags.

            Re: Splenda Pills????

Well, there's little you can do now anyway, so there's no point to worry about it. Just stick to 3 servings/day from now on and you will be fine.

Whether eating extra 3 carbs of sweetener will affect your weight loss or not is difficult to say. It depends on your CCLL and on the way your body reacts to sweeteners. For e.g., cyclamate stalls me if I eat something as little as 1/2 serving, but splenda doesn't even if I go over 3 servings.

              Re: Splenda Pills????

I don't know if they are the same in USA as over here, but the tablets of splenda available in UK have a very small amount of carbs in them according to their nutrition label here SPLENDA® Low Calorie Sweetener
              Per Tablet /Per 100g
              Calories 0.2/348
              Protein Trace/10.0g
              Carbohydrate Trace/97.9g
              of which sugars Trace/95.2g
              Fat 0g/0g
              of which saturates 0g/0g
              Fibre 0g/1.6g
              Sodium Trace/0.7g
I calculated that 100 grams = 1740 tablets which makes the actual carb count of one tablet to be 0.056 carbs each.

(As an aside I am so glad our labels in UK allow us to work out exactly what numbers are correct for a small amount of any food)

Though they have negligible carbs so would not affect our carb count we are still only supposed to have the equivalent of 3 packets of granulated splenda per day, which would be 6 tablets (approx 1/3 g carbs).
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
