So I won't make it the full month without weighing in...but at least I did make it 3 and a half weeks!
I had to make a doc's appointment for tomorrow morning for an issue i'm having and i figured I'd go ahead and get my blood work done then (last time I was there, and the doc kept yelling "no carbs" at me...she also said that once i lose some to get my blood work done)
So I should soon know what my levels are and I'm REALLY hoping they have changed.
Last time my Total Cholesterol was 210 (should be less than 200)
my Triglycerides were 130 (good / should be less than 150)
my LDL was 108 (good / should be less than 130)
Blood Sugar was 88 (good / should be less than 110)
I know my Insulin level was 15 (should be less than 10) (which is when she diagnosed me being Insulin Resistant).
So I'm excited to see how much all of that changes...Now I've only been eating low-carb for 8 weeks now, and even though I DON'T know how much I've lost total (was down 8 pounds at end of January)...I WAS able to put on a pair of slacks this morning - comfortably - and i'm wearing them now - that are definitely part of my "skinny pants" bunch - hidden in the back of the closet! lol.
So while I wish I could have waited a bit longer to see my doc - i'm excited to tell her that I've FINALLY listened to her and couldn't be happier!!!
