    I don't think you need luck, I think you need to be focused (which it already sounds like you are) so this method will either work for you or not. Keep it clean and you will be fine.

    Yep, i'm a size 6 at 165, believe it or not I've only been this weight for the past 9 or so years...I just don't know what happened...lol

    Feel free to PM anytime...I'm here rooting for you! But you should feel free to post openly, I'm not sure what it would hurt.

      That is absolutely insane and I dont even see how its possible that were at one time the same height and weight but u were 4 sizes bigger?!?! Guess the way I carry my weight means I have 2 lose ALOT like 50-60 pounds for it to show/register as I didn't look like I was almost 300 lbs...I've lost 30lbs and while my jeans are bigger they are still wearable...I dunno

        I think you must carry your weight well as I was a UK size 22 (USA 20) at 224 pounds!

        I also thought I carried my weight well but maybe not?! In any case, the downside is that I think it takes people a bit longer to notice. I am getting lots of compliments now after 20 pounds lost xx

          I just noticed u were 5'7 too Zarabelle but like I've said I may need 2 drop 40lbs before I drop a dress size! A little annoying but on the up side, I dont have to lose as much as I once thought to be at goal which makes achieving it seem even more possible!

              You may well have more muscle than I did....which weighs more but takes up less space than fat At my skinniest, I was a size 12....135 pounds and LEAN. There is no way my body would be capable of say a size 8 unless I was emaciated. We're all different!





              290 lbs. on 11/02/07 Goal: 145 lbs. or size 14 whichever comes first!

                I recall when I quit the board and Atkins 2 yr ago we were doing alot of talking about the leptin response and I stared piddlying around with it after being true to Akins since Aug 03.......I fell off wagon and fell hard and ahd been pure for 2.5 yr.... it didnt work for me and I belevied I had my carb cravings under total control and was a reborn again freak about Atkins and believed I had it licked for life.
                I didnt, I ate carbs, I was going to play with leptin idea and test myself about going back to Atkins after....as Dr A said...it was the kiss of death for me and here I am again committed to being true to Atkins and losing and getting healthier.

                  I won't see a size change until I am at aleast 22lbs smaller. I'm looking forward to the next size down!

                    You never know many Atkineers get into smaller clothes quicker than the scales would suggest. You might be one of those lucky ones!!

                        I have two sides to the story. I think everyone gave GREAT input!!!!! When I was younger and did Atkins I lost an average of three pounds every second day. It was unreal. I did have a latte a day and did vigorous exercise but I swear that the milk and SLIGHT sugar in my latte almost confused my body and make it work harder. Sounds nutso but it worked for me!!!!!! Then when you do that it's not TRULY Atkins but still it worked!

                        However, I have to really agree with Sadie in that my willpower just ain't as good as it once was and my ability to get on the wagon is not good anymore!!!!!!!!! Sugar does do something fierce to your cravings but if you withstand it, it can work!!! But it did for MY body. It doesn't mean it will work for you!

                          Im not worried because the only things I've added are fruit and higher carb veggies but still no corn or potatoes...
