WOOOHOO down THREE pounds!!!

  • WOOOHOO down THREE pounds!!!

    I'm happy! I went to the doc and weighed in (haven't weighed in in 3 weeks) and I'm down 3 pounds!!!

    I know a lot of people wouldn't be happy with three pounds - but for me, knowing that I'm Insulin Resistant and that in the past two years, LOSING weight for me has been hard (pretty darn near impossible) - I'm ECSTATIC that I've lost a pound a week. And - the way I see it - 1 pound per week = 52 pounds in one year - right?! And I've only got a TOTAL of 36 pounds to lose...(from my starting weight) - so I'm down 11 pounds in 8 weeks total...so I may change my user name to "TURTLE" lol.

    slow and steady wins the race and I'm SO very happy that it's going down!

    It is still surprising to me that ALL this fat i'm eating - i'm LOSING weight!
    I totally used to be the "low-fat is the only way to go" and "atkins was a quack/the diet'll kill you"...but I MUST say - right here right now. I was wrong and I'm a TOTAL convert!

    my clothes fit better. my belt is "up" four notches (could only use the first when I bought it...). my doctor's happy with me. I LOVE the foods I eat (dangit, fat tastes GOOD!). and overall life is great!

      a loss is a loss and I'm really happy to see that you're pumped about your -3 pounds.
      I'm happy for you! Yo ujust keep on doing the great job that you are and pretty soon there will be a "0" behind that loss number

          LiaHello, I am an autism advocate. I urge you to take care of your immune system as vaccines have heavy metals that will damage your brain and nervous system. GREEN OUR VACCINES... take the toxins out of the vaccines. 1 in 150 children are diagnosed with autism and the numbers are increasing.             Whooo hoooo for you thats fantastic.
            I'm with you on the slow but steady route. I always use to want things.. NOW.. and then got bored and gave up.. But I think now I've come to realise that its gona take a good amount of time to come off. So I dedicated 2009 for my weight loss year. So far.. so good

              Great Job! Your attitude is so positive and healthy. It's great to see someone withnot quite as much weight to lose be happy about losses! I've seen people that have had about 40 pounds to lose and get discouraged with a pound a week. I think you're doing awesome, and you've just gotta keep doing it!
