    Re: What the heck....

That can happen and there's nothing to worry about. I had the same shock a while ago, when I gained 5 lbs overnight from lifting weights the day before. It's obvious you can't gain 5 lbs of fat in a few days (you'd have to eat an enormous amount of calories), but seeing that extra water weight on the scale is a little discouraging. As a rule of thumb, if you are sore, you're probably retaining water. Typically, these pounds go away in a few days.

Muscles retain water to repair themselves. Keep up your exercise. That is super.

          Re: What the heck....

Did you have rest days? Your body needs time to recover just as much as it needs exercise.

Maybe post a menu in the 'Review my Menu' forum, too.

But if your food is fine, then there is nothing to worry about. How are your clothes fitting? Did they get tighter?

Just a thought . . . are you female? Is it anywhere near that 'time of the month' ? Many of us experience scales gains then.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                Re: What the heck....

Don't panic! I did the same thing when I started a running program. It amazed me that my "wog" (walk/jog) could be affecting me that way, but it did, and I gained weight for two weeks and then stalled for one. Then the third week I lost *12 pounds*. I don't have any idea what caused it, but I do know that *adding* exercise is never going to be bad for your body in the long-term. I honestly think mine was water weight, and just my body reacting to exercise after a long period of couch potatoing. *g*

Hang in there. Stay the course!
