So i'm on my first two days of induction (ever) and i've been craving sweets and carbs like mad. I've been compensating so far by eating too much, and sometimes when i'm not even hungry. I've managed to follow all the rules and staying under 20g a day but I don't feel like I will lose weight because I self-sabotage by overeating. Will the cravings calm down soon? This "detox" is phase is horrible!

Re: Cookies please?
Keep eating.
This is very normal reaction the first 2-3 days. What you need to do is eat and keep carbs to only legal limits. Then after a few days ketosis will set in and that will bring your appetite down and your amount will decrease.
Keep going and hang in there. You are doing fine.

Hang in there and the you will feel much better in a few days! This just shows how addicted we are to sugar...
There are desserts you can have, but make sure you don't go over your sweetener allowance (3 serving per day). Here's Linda's website, it has a lot of great recipes:

Re: Cookies please?
you might be better off in the long run if you don't give in to your sweet tooth on the first 14 days of induction by making even 'legal' desserts and cookies.
Starving that sugar monster might make it shrivel up and fade into the background. So instead of seeking out 'sweet' go for high-fat snacks or even 'sour' ones like pickles (check for no sugar in the ingredients).Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: Cookies please?
I second Elizellen's advice. These cravings are telling you that you ARE addicted to sweets. You need to kick the addiction. Don't worry if you are overeating right now. Don't worry about the scale right now. Your first priority should be to truly detox yourself. Your appetite will drop once your body adjusts.
