Re: Do you have a diet Mantra?

I stole mine from someone too, don't remember who though.

    "Food is Fuel, nothing more."

It's kind of an odd mantra considering I eat very well on this WOE, and usually eat really tasty legal foods. I have been known to cook a pot of my super fiber chili and eat it all day though or smoke a pork shoulder and eat six small meals of it for days in a row. I eat something every two hours at work, so nobody understands how I'm losing weight. All they see is me constantly stuffing my face with something fatty. Last week I had flax crust pizza and cauliflower lasagna at work. Everyone thought I was off my diet.
"...Health and fitness are more than just personal goals - they're gifts we give to the people around us. Being fit and feeling on top of our game will ensure that we're there for the people who rely on us. It will make us better fathers, husbands, friends, lovers... and yes, even better sons." -David Zinczenko -Mens Health Magazine

I always went with "one pound at a time." Lot's of smaller goals and mini celebrations kept me on track and from getting discouraged.
