You may need to "engine" your metabolism a bit more. Try to eat more frequently, around every 3 to 4 hours and drink 1 glass of water every hr.

Even if you feel that what you eat is good and allowed, check the amount and quantities, you may be eating more calories that you are burning.

Also, you are eating processed food as sausages for example...try to avoid that and also avoid sauces as well.

    Good Luck!

      Thank you for replying!
Should my calories be at a certain amount like 2000 or 1500?

First of all it is not necessary that anything is wrong even if the scale jump - things like that can happen.

Calories are not that important - but don't eat too little.

How much do you have to lose and how much did you already lose?

I think I would cut down on the tea with the sweetener - sometimes sweeteners can stall. You have sweetener in your tea and in your sauce and maybe also your sausages - so that will make more than the 3 daily sweetener allowed
And make sure you drink 64 oz of water
Also American cheese is not allowed on induction.
Make sure you get 3 cups of veggies and try to spread them around to all your meals.

Atkins writes that caffeine can stall some people so decaffeinated may be better.
              Are you trying some exercise?

Even if we do think it is reasonable, it will depend on what your own body decides to do as to whether you can lose that amount in that time

Setting weightloss by time schedules is a fairly pointless exercise I feel, as you cannot control it by your own efforts like you could other goals such as:
Staying on plan with your eating for xx days
Drinking xx ounces of water a day
Exercising xx minutes for x days a week

Set yourself goals you can achieve by your own choices instead and the weight loss will happen when your body decides it is time.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Elizellen - I ABSOLUTELY love yoiur idea of only setting goals of what is within your control - so simple, but so sensible, I'd never really thought of it this way before! Thanks so much!

What Phase of Atkins are you in?

REad the ingredients to the sausage patties---do they contain sugar (dextrose, corn syrup solids, sucrose, etc.)? Read the ingredients to the "low carb barbecue sauce"---are those ingredients legal for your phase of Atkins?

How much water are you drinking daily? Dr. Atkins said that we should drink at least 64 ounces of water daily. And the only thing that counts as water is water, not tea, not coffee, etc.

How much artificial sweetener are you using? We are allowed to have 3 servings of artificial sweetener per day. That includes foods sweetened with them.

                          Re: Can anyone help?

                          Hi there!

I've just started back but from former experience can tell you that paying attention to what happens with what you eat will help. For instance, if I eat too much cheese or too much beef, I won't lose for days. My body does like that variety! I do eat cheese but its usually string cheese or cheddar or colby jack, non-processed. I even try to stay away from yummy bacon because its processed and sodium but it is easy and good!

Drink more water plain, it really does help!

Don't forget to take your measurements!

                          You are doing great!!
