  • Sardines??

I am going to the store this weekend to pick up some acceptable foods. I was wondering if someone could tell me if it is okay to eat sardines. I like the ones in mustard. When I went to the store earlier this week, I noticed that the nutrition label wasn't on the sardines. I didn't want to get them in case they were not okay for introduction. I am also going to pick up some pork rinds and cream cheese and celery. Any other good "snack" ideas you guys could provide I would appreciate it!! Breakfast and dinner are easy. I have the hardest time with lunch and snacks, that tends to be when I eat something I shouldn't

All the sardines I checked out in mustard were okay. I know some had ingredients that we can't have, but I don't remember which ones. I don't like them, so it's been a long time since I bought any. Did you look at the ingredients list on the side of the can? That's what is important.

Thanks! There wasn't anything on the side of the can which is why I was confused. I wasn't sure if there was any added sugar or anything to them. Do you think it would be okay to eat like maybe once or twice a week? What about sour cream? Is that okay to have? The kind I get says only 1 g of carbs. I just want to make sure I'm not eating anything that might cause me to stall as I have been the same weight for a whole month!!

If you like them, sardines a couple of times a week is fine.

You are allowed to have sour cream as a garnish, meaning a tablespoon or two, then under special foods catagory you can have another one ounce a day, but it has a caveat that these special foods sometimes stall people.

Another thing about sour cream. A lot of them have all kinds of chemicals in it. I only eat Daisy brand, which only contains cream and cultures. It has 1 gram of carbs for 2 tablespoons serving. I've read the ingredients on some that have 8 to 10 things in it beyond cream. We don't have Friendship brand here, but I understand that it has no extra yucky stuff in it either.

Have you seem the measuring spoons that are for a dollop, tad, pinch, dash and smidgen? I'd buy a set if they didn't cost the earth.
