I started having a headache the day after starting the diet, and I have had it all week. Will it subside soon??? I would hate to have to stop the diet because of this, but, can't function this way everyday.

Or eat higher carb veggies off the lists. If you are eating 2c of lettuce as your two cups, try eating some pumpkin or something of that nature.

It depends on how many things you are giving up. If it is just sugar and bad carbs, probably by day three or four. If you are giving up caffeine, it might take a bit longer.
As bad as it feels, it is a good sign. It means your body is trying to get rid of toxins every way it can. Drinking lots of plain water will help push the toxins out and relieve the headache much faster.People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

I feel just terrible for being glad when someone is feeling horrible and has a terrible headache, but on Induction it is proof that you are flushing out the toxins, burning fat and getting into ketosis! I only had a headache for about 2 days. I agree that it depends on how much you are giving up. I quit smoking on April 17th and when I did that I gradually quit drinking coffee. Coffee and cigarettes went hand in hand for me. I used to drink nothing but coffee all day long. Now I may have a cup once or twice a week. The last time I did Atkins my headache lasted a lot longer. It will get better. Make your self drink more water. Stick with it you will make it.
