      Where was I rude? She was rude telling me I need to "pick up a book", assuming that I haven't read Atkins' books at all when I was addressing what Shawn said and she pulled me in it.

      If you can dish it out then you need to be able to take it.

      She messed up addressing me like she pushed me through her loins.

      If she has a problem with it, she can ignore me which is what I intend on doing.

        I think the problem with this type of post is that it gives people ideas.. they think, oh, I could do that - eat lots of low carb sweets and have ice cream and then maybe I will lose a lot of weight like shawn did. The mods and people that have been here a long time (myself included) have seen it time and time again. After a month or two, the person vanishes from the site and maybe pops back several months later with a 'I'm back' post and how they're going to do it by the book this time. I am honestly very pleased for Shawn but I can see why people give the warnings/advice they do in response.

        Why did I say you were rude? Well, I thought the tone of your message to Lyssie was very different to the tone of the message to you.

          Um. I view it as rude. You were addressing what I said to Shawn. Sorry if you don't agree, but I am just saying how to do this WoL *properly*. I feel like my net loss of over 100lbs actually is somewhat showing that the proper way *is* how to do it since I have tried to do a "modified induction" and then got down to my goal (and within 10lbs of it) repeatedly. I am 27, so I kind of feel like you being older would make it difficult for me to be your parent. I wasn't giving *you* advice, so much as trying to inform others about why doing what Shawn is doing is not a good thing. My last post was addressing a question ASKED about my post. It wasn't even related to you. Seriously. Grow up.

          Moving forward. Shawn *IS* eating protein. Eating a more balanced way *is* how people stick with this WoL. I'm sorry you took offense to me trying to help someone succeed with this.

          It's not your place to tell me what I should or shouldn't say, and you are definitely in no position to threaten me by saying "it would behoove you watch your tone with me from here on out." Honestly, I am not sure what you think you are going to do to me, but threats of that nature are pretty much illegal in the US - it's called assault.

          Anyway, Good luck Shawn. I really do hope you can find a way to make this work for you in the long run.
