  • Should I go back on Induction Phase or not?

I began around 170 lbs and got down to 152. Now, I'm almost 160 and yes, I've been eating the wrong foods. Yesterday, I ate a whole box of girl scout cookies. So far today, I've had bacon and eggs and 2 chocolate shakes. That was my breakfast and lunch. I drank 3 bottles of water and now, am looking for something for dinner. Any thoughts?

If you only had one slip that put you out of ketosis, go back to induction for a few days and then continue from where you were before the cheat. However, if this cheat went on for days, then I would say you should do a full 2-week induction.

Meli is right about the shakes. Most probably they have illegal ingredients for induction (milk, soy, etc.), so you will have to put them off until you reach the appropriate OWL rung.

Don't forget to eat your veggies!

Thanks for the information. I think Induction would be the best for me right now. I ended up splurging tonight and bought some crab legs and dipped them in butter. It was so yummy. Now, I need to find a recipe for cheesecake for desert.

I love your honesty. A full box of cookies...hmmm...been there, done that before ! You're definitely not alone on this board.

I suggest trying not to eat anything sweet for the two-week Induction phase. If you're like me the thought of doing that seems impossible, but you can do it! It will help you break your need for sweets though. After the first couple/few days you won't even be craving sweets as long as you are following Induction as Dr. Atkins laid out.

When I first did Induction (Feb 200 I was eating Frankenfoods (like Atkins bars) which made me want more sweets. The second time I did Induction (Dec 200 I didn't have ANY sweets (no Splenda packets, no gum, no Frankenfoods, no diet soda, etc) and I felt GREAT!

I'm recovering from surgery to have my gallbladder removed and have been thinking of cutting out sweets for awhile once I start to eat regular, full meals again. I just feel better

          Good luck to you!
