Re: Carb and Calories burned
You do not burn carbs or fat or protein, but energy. Calories are a measuring unit for energy.
BFGarner is correct, 1 g carbohydrate is 4 calories. But if you are in ketosis, your body breaks down (primarily) fat for energy. 1 g fat is 9 calories."Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."

Re: Carb and Calories burned
If you are asking can you do mounds of exercise to compensate for extra carbs the answer is NO. The extra carbs will take you out of ketosis no matter how much exercise you do and will turn off the fat burning mechanism. Digestion and metabolism of food is different from work energy of the body.
Extra exercise will burn more calories, but if you have turned of the fat burning mechanism then its kind of like two steps forward, three steps back.
