I haven't posted in a while- sorry- but I have been avidly lurking and thought this would be a great day to post and update my progress.
I started Jan 5/09 at 180 lbs- Today I weighed in a 158.6 lbs- WOOHOO!. This is not to say it's been all easy-peasy. I had one week where I gained 2 lbs, several weeks where I lost 0.5 lbs ..etc.. ( I seem to be a "woosh" weight loser
) Okay by me...
Some challenges: Flying to the in-laws for 5 days for a wedding- the challenge here- the airline, the inlaws always making the food and not being at all receptive to me making my own- - yes, I did break here- but not until day 4
. Being a mom- my kids still like to eat all the fruit and pasta and other items that I am not allowing myself- do you know how hard it is for a mom to NOT eat the 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich a child has left behind? lol
and simply finding time to get on the treadmill- which I have been doing 30 min./ 4 or 5 days per week
-Having a history of an eating disorder- This was while I was a teenager and into my early 20s- you would think at 39 I wouldn't have to even think about this. -but sure enough -using fitday to track my carbs and calories caused me to start getting the old obssessive habit back- so- no more fitday or counting- just watching my food- and feeling good about what I eat.
So there we are
21 lbs lighter
-Happily fitting into a size 13 pant ( 34 reg. jean)
-and just squeezing under the radar with a normal BMI of 24.58
bye for now
Jenn
