  • How bad does Whey Protien Isolate slow you down?

Ok, my hubby brought home some of the Strawberry Mouse (whey protien isolate). I had to try it cause it said 0 carbs, 0 sugar. Whipped it up with a small amout of heavy cream and cream cheese. OH MY GOSH, it was SO GOOD! After eating it I wound up making the rest of the cream cheese and heavy cream with it and eating it too.

Yeah, I 'm so disapointed in myself now. Not only have I over done it on the cream cheese and heavy cream, I've read that you can't have that until you are further down the rungs than what I am. I'm on extended induction cause I'm afraid to move to OWL. I'm scared that I will not count my carbs correctly.

So I guess from here I should up my water and exercise more and go back to square one?

Man, I'm stupid! This WOL is pretty easy why did I go and make it harder? Am I going to start having cravings again?

Nobody can really say how badly it will affect you - it may cause you to stall, it may make you lose a few lbs overnight!

I think as long as you don't make it a habit, just continue as you were doing - sure, up your water intake if you want to flush your body out and carry on

Okay! You know what I have to say about that remark!

Calling yourself names won't help anything. Calm down. It probably won't hurt anything if you get back in control right now. Whey protein isolate is not like eating a donut. Eating too much cream cheese and cream is not the worst thing you can overeat. All are pretty low carb, but high fat and high calorie. Don't TRY to count the carbs. Just know that you have to conserve for the rest of the day, then start right back tomorrow where you left off.

It shouldn't make the cravings start back up unless dairy and sweeteners are a trigger for you. If they are, then use this as a lesson learned for the future.

The stress of freaking out will do the most harm. It's not the end of the world and not even the bad end to a one day out of the seven in each week. This is real life--make the best you can out of each decision you make.
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

"Some men give up their designs when they have almost reached the goal; While others, on the contrary, obtain a victory by exerting, at the last moment, more vigorous efforts than ever before."

Oh Sunny, I love that disappointed dog!! So funny!

Don't worry Ran, you didn't eat a donut as Sunny says. Just see how it has effected you in a few days and have it as an occasional treat if you tolerated it xxx

Thanks girls for the laugh and encouragement to go on!

stephbob, I was reading your post about your family. Are they doing better with your WOL? Have they converted to Atkins yet? Thanks for your post here!

SunnySmile501, I loved the dog! I'm not stupid, just made a bad choice. I've learned that I need to keep the cream cheese and heavy cream out of the house when there is whey protien in the house. I won't touch the stuff with out it. Thanks for posting and getting me back on track.

          Zarabelle, thanks for posting too!

Also, thanks to SunnySmile501 and Zarabelle for always being so nice to me! Everytime I turn around you guys are there and have always made me comfortable and feel welcome here since the day I met you! 1 million thanks!!!!!!!!!

No, they haven't. I think it was all sounding good at the time, but when it comes to actually DOING it, it's another matter. Oh well, I've not seen them in 5 weeks, and I'm not seeing them for another 6 weeks, so by the time I see them again I'll have 7 weeks of weightloss under my belt, hopefully enough to entice them over to the not-so-dark side!
