  • So frustrated! Help!

Ok so this post is kind of embarassing--- but I need help so here goes. I am hoping that some of you can relate to what I'm going through and maybe have some advice. I have been doing really well on Atkins and don't get me wrong-- I am very very grateful! I have lost 37 pounds since November. I was a size 16 when I started and I now have size 8 and 9 in my closet (depending on the brands). I know I should be very happy with this result and not complain---BUT... I am not losing the weight in my face very fast! It is driving me crazy. The rest of my body is starting to fall in place but I am losing the weight in my face last. Does anyone have any advice on exercises to tone up your face? I am tired of having extra weight in my chin even though it is a lot less than before. My sister is getting married in 2 months and I don't want a double chin in the pictures! Please help!

Well, you can tone the area around your lower jaw and under the chin by alternately smiling really wide with a cheesy grin and involving the neck muscles too and then puckering hugely. Do this 20 times a couple times a day (I suggest when you are alone). This tones, but take a good look at family members. If they have a tendency to fuller faces and double chins, it may not be about the amount of weight you lose. I would also try a firming cream on the skin of the neck (like people use for eyes). It won't hurt. I am sorry I don't have any better advice for you. But there is one good thing---you have done such a marvelous job since November, that no one will notice your chin. They will be commenting on how much you have lost and how great you look!

It's not about the results. Its about the process.
