  • David's teas! - a must!!!

Okay! I need to share this with someone!!! So I am a BIG and I mean BIG coffee drinker! And when I do drink coffee (which is twice a day) it's Starbucks or Second Cup (Cdn version) which adds up to 10 bucks a day or 200 bucks a month! EEK!!! So in light of having to be economically sane I had to make a switch. As well, I am completely convinced that my coffee addiction is helping me to go loco!!!! I am having a lot of mood crashes lately!

So...I went into David's Teas today (they have an online store that all of you must go to) and bought 5 teas and two tea clasps for loose tea and it all came to fourty bucks which is great because I used to spend more than that in a week! The best part? I have a strainer to take to work and the flavours are unreal. I got weight loss teas and anti-anxiety ones! And a sack of them (for 25 cups) costs $6.

The flavours are unreal. I have one that tastes like banana splits! They have a creme caramel and they have a chocolate mint one! Right now I am having the coco chai Rooibos! I also got an oolong which is milky and it helps with weight loss apparently!!!!

I really really really recommend this to anyone! I have a new addiction and it's way better than food!!!!!!!

Ooh....I'm a tea junkie too! I'm a Stash lover, though. Mainly because I can get them for .09cents a piece at a local bulk store. I have learned, sorry to say, that some teas have added fillers in them...just so sad to mess with a good tea when you find one. I have to watch Stash, too, because there's a fillers (carbs) in a few of them that I don't drink anymore....but I'm addicted to chai and camomile...and the last is decafe (HUGE for me because I'm a recovering high test coffee drinker)

Any ways, good for you switching and saving money. Hope it works out for you.

I'm such a tea junkie that I have a collection of Staffordshire tea pots (in honor of my English background) and I own two tea defusers...(only two because they're my favorite ones and I didn't the need to find a new one until now....I just saw a defuser my friend has that's like a stick that she fills at home and brings with her to work....I'm so envious...I need to find one like that)...and I made friends at the local health food store when they get in their new additions of teas and I have extra cash to buy them (that's so not very often because it's not cheap for me...and I'm so cheap right now ).

i'm a big fan of adagio teas... I bought the trinitea tea maker from them this summer and it rocks my freakin socks off!!! it's just like a coffee maker but for loose tea, keeps it warm and fabulous all day... speaking of which, i think i have a cup or two left

Nice to hear about new teas....I guess once I found my favorite, I never ventured on to something else.

I love loose teas when I can get them. I so need one of those tea makers! Sounds like a great toy to have in the kitchen.

I drink tea as part of my family culture and is a comfort...some people drink alcohol or smoke, Me...I drink tea. Sorry to say that most decafe teas are not completely 100% without carb fillers or decafe (neither is decafe coffee), they're at least less of a rush than the regular....and you have to research which teas will work for you. Just a suggest though that if you're bored with drinking your water plain during induction, add some lemon or lime juice to your water....just as Dr. A says in the book. Then later add in the drinks you want that are sugar free and caffiene free so you know what will work for you and have a clean system...it's just like food, you have to find out what works best for you. Hope that helps.
