You 'Just do it".....seriously...I have had awesome success on this WOE a few times...I have also screwed around on this WOE....and I can tell you the time that I have success is when I just decide enough is enough- that I am sick of being fat, sick of being bloated, sick of heartburn, acne, female issues.......On atkins I feel in control, my skin is clear, my bloating is gone, my hot flashes Gone, I lose weight effortlesly,.....
Its a Mind set....You need to tel your mind....NO you do NOT crave this crap- and your NOT getting it...so move it along :<)

You can do this- You are WORTH this.....You are amazing and are NOT to be hindered any longer by the number on the scale-

            Hello,
If you're having difficulty with sweet cravings it's a good idea to take L-Glutamine to tame the sweet monster. Here's the post that explains L-Glutamine and it's effects, #30
I've used it along with many here and know it works.
Also, make sure you have enough allowed foods on hand so you're not setting yourself up for pitfalls. Dr. Atkins also writes about pitfalls on page 130 DANDR. And also writes how to fashion a food plan. A must read.
Also when you're experiencing cravings (yes they are real), grab yourself a fat snack. As in 1/2 an avacado, deviled eggs, celery sticks with cream cheese. Just to name a few. If it's salty you're craving, have a few pork rinds with your allowed sour cream (one ounce). This will supress the cravings.
Planning is everything in this lifestyle. There's a saying here, "Fail to plan, plan to fail".
You will succeed! Look at it as a lifestyle and not a diet. As Garfield the cat would say "Diet is die without a T".
You're making lifestyle changes for life. This takes time. Be patient with yourself. You will succeed. It's a learning journey.
Wishing you the best of health and lite.
            Sincerely, Sherri

              Re: Omg

It's time to get tough with yourself! You have a choice what you put in your mouth. Induction is only 14 days. 14 days that you commit to eating a certain way. What is 14 days out of your whole life? Make up your mind that you are going to do it this time, and stick to your decision.

If need be, do it one day at a time. Start the first day by putting in writing that just for this one 24 hour period, I will only eat foods on this list. Write out the list. Have the foods on hand. Take some with you if you are out so you can't cave in to hunger. Allow yourself to eat all the legal foods that it takes to prevent caving in to the carb monsters. Hide the carb crap out of sight. Have legal snacks front and center so you can grab them and munch away.

The next day, do it over again. By the time you make it through three to four days without giving in, ketosis will have kicked in and run the cravings out of town.

Try to go without anything with artificial sweeteners for at least the first week and the cravings will be long gone. If all else fails, decide that you will only eat the carb crap after you have undressed and looked at yourself in a full-length mirror.
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

"Some men give up their designs when they have almost reached the goal; While others, on the contrary, obtain a victory by exerting, at the last moment, more vigorous efforts than ever before."

That's kind of like asking what's the meaning life, to me....try different things until you find the right one. In the mean time, just say no and walk away.

No worries! You're doing GREAT! Every day is a step better than yesterday! Take the word "tomorrow" out of the vocabulary. Don't put it off. Start RIGHT NOW! I think I said tomorrow for two years. I also spent so much time sabotaging myself rather than focusing on what I need to do.

I get creative with salads and meals and go home to look forward to new creations!

Today is day two and I can already taste being thin!! I had major success on Atkins when I was younger! Even today I have tons of energy and way more confidence!

Good luck! I need the support too! We're all here for e/o!

                      Re: Omg

If you truly have your head in the WOE you won't cheat. Until you do, keep trying, and keep trying, and keep trying. But dont beat yourself up if you can't stick with it--just start again. Look at each meal you don't cheat as a small success. and say "I can do better tomorrow". Being successful on Atkins isn't about the food, or the rungs, or the planning. The real key to success is commitment--getting your head and heart invested in this. Not invested until a fudge brownie shows up in the house, or because you didn't want to waste a half a sandwich your kids left. It means being ready to throw temptaion out (Literally) and not feel guilty about the waste. It means knowing you are doing what is right for your body even when others try to lead you astray. It means putting yourself first over food. It's hard to get your head there, but when you do--thats when you do this successfully. I have tried this WOE when I have been truly committed and also when I haven't. The results reflect my level of commitment. No easy way, just keep talking yourself into it and plug away at it until you really are ready.

                      FINAL GOAL 165

It's not about the results. Its about the process.
