  • Ambiguous "Spices" in food labels

Do I need to worry about that? I used Rotisserie Chicken seasoning on my devilled eggs this morning (3 eggs and mayo). A few hours later i felt hungry (well, i was very stressed to..maybe that's why?)

What kind of secret ingredient would a manufacturer use that they can't list? I guess if it was sugar, they'd list it right?

Ingredients:Salt, onion, spices, paprika, garlic, citric acid, and silicon dioxide.

    Nice to see you here!

You might want to check the manufacturer's website to see if they have the nutritional info for it. Otherwise, you can guess at the carb content by the other listed ingredients, like the onion (powder I'm assuming), garlic and the paprika.

It might be worth contacting the customer service department of the manufacturer and saying you need to know what spices they use as you are intolerant of some foods and would love to find out if their product is one you can eat. If they have a website you should be able to find an email address.
