  • Please help me, I just have to do it!

I have lost 40 pounds on Atkins but I have gone and cheated for the last month and gained about ten of them back!!! Why I do not know but I just need help and encouragment I have to quit saying I will start back tomorrow or I will start on monday because you can't start back in the middle of the week! Well TOMORROW IS MONDAY lol and I AM starting back I am 250 right now and my goal at the moment is to be 199 I can not imagine being below 200 pounds especially considering I started at 280!!! Wouldn't you think forty pounds would be encouragment enough to keep going? Well I have started tanning and I am going back on my diet tomorrow and I will stick to it! I won't mind if some one says now Shelly you aren't cheating are you? LOL I just need some encouragment!!! I do feel so much better when I stick to the plan I'm in a better mood my stomache doesn't feel like its pooching out like I'm pregnant and I sleep sooo much better! So here's to the new thinner and bronze me!!! I will make that pair of shorts look good by the end of the summer!!!

There comes a point when you've lost a good amount of weight that you start to think "well just ONE won't make me gain all that weight back". Any time you think that, you pop yerself in the forehead and go NO! BAD ME! Because it never happens only once!

Welcome back. Do you have any thin pics of yourself? I just put some on my computer to view as inspiration. Try to remember how good it feels to be at a weight that you are comfortable with. Try on a swimsuit and think about how good you'll feel in the summer if you stick to it.

Re: Please help me, I just have to do it!

          Hi,

I just had this experience recently and am now on Day 7 of re-induction. This is my 6th or 7th attempt to get back into induction but I never made it past 2 days before. However I changed a few things this time and it seems to be working.

          1) I stopped thinking in terms of two weeks, I think in terms of meals now. Ex: I need to stay induction friendly for breakfast...success! I need to stay Atkins friendly for lunch...success!! It made it seem more manageable

          2) I keep telling myself "failing to prepare is preparing to fail". I had been neglecting going grocery shopping and keeping Atkins friendly stuff in the house.

Doing these two things has helped me get back on track.

          Good luck to you,

          Rae

It took me two months of trying every day for me to finally get a whole day right. Keep plugging away and it will eventually click and your head will be back into this. Don't give up.

I echo what the others have said - think of it being one meal/snack at a time, just keep going no matter what. Before too long you will realise you have gone a whole week without faltering
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

This is so true for me, when I first started again the thought of the first week seemed so daunting, now I'm on day 8 and it seems so easy, when I reached day 5 I think, I was like...that went fast. I just don't think about the time AT ALL. Just do it.

                Good luck to you
