  • You know that "one day"...

how many of us have bought a clothing item - KNOWING that it was too small - in hopes that "one day" it would fit - because dangit - just a few more pounds and it WILL fit...

well - that one day is here!!!!!! I bought a pair of pants about a month ago that fit - but were very noticibly tight...

I put them on today and they just fit like a glove. Absolutely perfect and so freakin' comfortable!!!

I also have 2 pair of slacks and 4 skirts in my closet right now that I absolutely REFUSED to throw away, that I wore at 160, even when I was nearing 200 - because I kept saying, "one day, they'll fit again" - and it's absolutely incredible to me that I KNOW I truly honestly KNOW in my heart that that "one day" will come. I'm not just saying that in hopes either - I KNOW that as long as I continue doing what I'm doing it WILL happen.

Sof for any of you newbies our there or anyone who's losing motivation just think of those items that you KNOW "one day" will fit - because if you just stick to it, ONE DAY will come!

That happened to me when I lost the first 60 pounds the first time. Clothes had been in my closet for literally years because I was 10 pounds from wearing them when I bought them and that became 20, then 30---you get the picture. Well when I lost the weight, they did indeed fit but they were from a 1980s closet and boy did they look ridiculous! So I wore them all once to say I did it and them tossed them in the giveaway pile. My friend who taught in the room next to me and I had a great laugh at the absurdity of the Joan Collins shoulder pads, etc. but darn it-- I got those clothes on!
