    Thank you guys very much for all the support. with the exception of a few people that was confused on some of my posts and were rude..i feel like i have met some cool people here...

    as someone who has lost over 100 pounds and kept it off for well over a decade i must say Atkins has come along way!

    I am really happy that whole grain foods taste so darn good. 10 years ago they were horrid..most of them...not all...but yuck...Now whole grains are much better than the alternatives...

    I havent been here long however i have made some observations:

    some common mistake i think people are making:

    1.) Staying in induction way too long

    2.) not adding in enough carbs as you go along..yes thats right...

    3.) not taking a multi vitamin

    4.) not exercising

    i have also identified two groups of people...

    those that have an eating disorder and cant ever stray 1% from this diet , try to eat one slice of pizza and the entire pie is gone..and then you want more and more...kind of like a drug addict...

    then there seems to be those that have had age catch up with them, havent exercised very much and just got into a habit of eating the wrong things at the wrong times..these people seem to need a gentle nudge in the right direction and can have more wiggle room in this diet...

    that being said, it is always desirable to eat healthy and thats what we are talking about is health...

    no matter why your here, i am glad you are...and im glad to be here as well.

    i dont have much to lose, and to be honest will likely be at my goal in a week or two...but im not going anywhere...trust that.

    wow, I've been trying not to comment on your strange posts and such, but here goes. I think you are an idiot. That's all I'm saying.

      I bet you think you hurt my feelings huh? nope..laughing pretty hard.

      dude you have the right to think anything you want of people.

      but you sure do lower yourself when you have to proclaim it to the world.

      you know you could have send a private message.

      oh wait..but that would be a move by a classy person. and thats not your style right?

        I've been stifling my tongue, too, but you can't seem to stifle yours, so...

        You are absolutely the one that is rude. The people you get in fights with are intelligent, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. You keep talking about all the things you can't have at various stages of Atkins, and you constantly flaunt your weight loss from forever ago as a way to justify your wrong assertations.

        Did you make this thread to call out the people you claim are rude? Or just to try to put yourself in a position as a mentor? I'm genuinely not sure. You originally came to this board looking for answers to your questions, then you got defensive and hostile toward people who tried to help you.

        Goal #1 - 260 - Met 04/12/09! Goal #4 - 230 - Met 08/03/09!
        Goal #2 - 250 - Met 05/22/09! Goal #5 - 220 - Met 01/29/10 FINALLY!

          talking to someone face to face is different than these posts...its hard to tell exactly what someone is saying...

          that being said, i dont think i am hostile at all...and i have had private messages saying i am right on...

          at any rate i suppose i can be aggressive in conversation..sorry..

          i am here to support anyone trying to better their life, and i received some great answers when i 1st came in here..and i truly appreciate it.

          for the most part 90% of you guys are pretty cool, there are a few uptight people in here bless their hearts....

              After reading several of his posts,
              I would think a Patient is more like it.
