    i didnt say you did lowfat etc. i said i tried. I really hope for the best for you. It just doesnt feel like you want to really do atkins and thats ok. I have nothing to lose except weight by trying it and giving it a chance i have been at it since 3/3/09 and only 10lbs lighter but thats ok. i am 10lbs lighter not heavier and have energy to work out now. All i can say is choose what you want to do if its not atkins thats ok its your choice. But please we are here to support eachother that are doing atkins or starting it. I am much happier and no longer depressed because of atkins. If your your not going to do it and commit to it why are you here? I have herd that stopping and starting is much harder to lose weight, I guess thats why i am being so defensive sounding, i dont want to do that losing these 10pounds is hard enough cant imagine doing this over and over again. good luck to you on which ever path you choose.

    but I have a feeling this will change.

    looking forward to looking in the full length mirror and see that woman smilling back at me.

      Hi BBB! I'm hesitant to even jump in here, because you sound so frustrated with everyone who is trying to help you. I wanted to say to you though, that perhaps the reason you find everyone's comments confusing and a bit contradictory is that Atkins works a little differently for everybody - and by following the guidelines/main principles in the book you learn what works for your particularly body. Some people can eat certain things that others can't - or can eat more net carbs than others can. So if someone says try this or that, it is probably b/c they found that doing so helped them, and this doesn't necessarily mean that your body will respond exactly as theirs did. I think if you read the 2002 version of the book it will really help you understand the Atkins plan and people's suggestions, as well as how to experiment and find what works for you personally. Regardless of what you decide to do, I hope that you find a plan that works for you and are sucessful on it.

        Do you think my thoughts? How in the world do you know or protest to know what I want to do? Where does that come from? I am here doing Atkins, I have the old book, your way or no way...seems odd, how many other people on this board do Atkins the exact same way you do? NONE. Are you jumping on thier vines stating what they want or do not want to do? What part of what I am doing is not Atkins to you? Is it that my doctor made suggestions or is it that I weigh myself on different scales? Maybe you are upset that I don't eat red meat...I'm not sure what your problem is with me but I know what I'm doing and do not relish you telling me what I want or don't want...thank you very much. What makes you my judge and jury? There are other people here that I am sure would love to hear what you have to say...thank god for the ignore button.
