OMG WOW I cant believe someone had the audacity to do that!!!!!! I guess if I ever post any good before and after pics I will be watermarking the heck out of them so no one can steal them !!!!!

I am by no means technical but I do know there is a way to stop pictures being taken, the admins have to disable right click somehow...like I say I don't know how to do it but I do know it can be done. might be worth thinking about don't you think?

Unfortunately even with a right click disable there is STILL: a way to steal pictures. They just do screen captures and save the caps as JPG files and crop them ..There is no way to protect an image unless you "watermark" it all over with your name so they cant remove it.

My family and I also have seen those before and after pics at this site...but we can't remember where or when.

But it did raise the question....

if we spot this type of false ad, and we are 100% sure they used stolen pics from this site...what proceedures should we take?
copy and paste it to a new thread?
Or send the URL by Email and/or private message to the moderators to investigate then issue the proper warnings?

I think the best (and perhaps only) thing we can do is to make a note of the website address you saw it at, along with the date and time, and then let either the person whose photo it is, or a mod, know.

As Mitzi has said, it's a tough battle to get anywhere because they are so sneaky.

disabling the right click feature won't stop them -- you can still get any picture off the internet you want - it's not hard and one of the programs to do it doesn't cost a thing.....it's called IrfanView - I have it on my computer and use it along with my graphics program.

It's sad that you can't legally do anything to stop them.

That is outrageous and really just sad, Mitzie!! I had always wondered if the before and afters on some of those ads were the same person or not, but had not considered the pics would have nothing to do with the diet being advertised!! You have worked so hard for what you have accomplished! I am angry that the pics were stolen! Please let us know how it turns out.

Yes I see that ad everywhere and I know it looks like something to go for but please just ignore it.
I'm a marketer and this sort of thing is common. A little white lie to spark interest, draw in visitors to buy any bs product so that the advertiser pockets a nice commission.
When you see ads like that I can only advise you to be skeptical !

I too have seen that ad and thought I recognized the pictures! Thanks for finding the link. That is outrageous that anyone would do that. Let that be a lesson to us all I suppose. huh?

Tom (our lord and master) has been working on a watermark for all adbb pics. Right now he is looking for someone to create one. If anyone has some ideas for a watermark you should let him know.

I don't recognize the photos, but as someone who has "been there and done that", I know that there is nothing they can do about it. My before/after pics have been stolen and appeared on several sites. I have a top-notch attorney working on it, but so far, nothing... they are very crafty, and know just when to disappear and cover their tracks well.

These were some of my stolen pics:

Want to hear somethign stupid? That add for acai berry with your pic I seen it a few months ago (jan or fed i think) and ordered the acai berry crap and got rippped off big time. I had to cancel my bank card and everything. Talk about feeling stupid. They used oprah and racheal ray and lots others in the add and it looked like the thing to try.

I actually keep seeing TOGAGIRL's pics other places online...not sure what to really do though.
