O.K., I just started induction last Monday. So far, so good. However, I'm at the beach until Thurs. Today was kind of hard but I managed to get through it without cheating myself. I've been tempted so many times today! It was really hard! Now if I can just get through these next two days and keep on doing good, I'll be very proud of myself! When I usually come to the beach, I want Pina Coladas and sweet stuff. I can do it though! I just have to keep saying that! Wish me luck!!!

That beach, or rather the other people on it, would highly motivate me. You can probably look in one direction and see your goal and a beach body you DON'T want to look like. Be very careful what you eat and drink while you're there. Remember, a clean induction is soooooooo important! A clean induction will give you a strong foundation for success.

Hi stacey - welcome to ADBB!! Congrats on not eating things you aren't suppose to so far. Make some fatty foods you can legally eat to keep your hands away from contriband food - roll up lunchmeat and dip it in mayo, put cream cheese in celery - also slice up radishes, zucchini and cucumbers in a bowl and have them close.

When all else fails and you are tempted to eat something you shouldn't drink a large glass of water and go for a walk. My first few days I must have walked every 30 minutes but it worked!

Good luck on your weight loss journey

My thought's exactly! a beach can be a great motivator...

Congrats on sticking with it in a difficult situation! Another great thing about the beach is it's a fantastic place for exercising...walking inthe sand is very good for the legs!

GREAT for you!!! Way to go staying on plan at the beach!! Sometimes I feel so guilty when I'm at a party or out at a restaurant and tempted. I tend to steal glimpses of the largest sloppiest eater in the room and focus my thoughts on avoiding ever allowing that to be ME. It sounds like a crappy technique, I know but it certainly works for me.

Let us know what the scale results are. We wanna know!!!
