Since rung 4 is the fruit rung, is jelly allowed on that rung?

I know - I'd MUCH rather have real berries (i LOVE all the berries allowed on that rung) - and I'm waiting about another 5 pounds until I move onto that rung...

but There is ONE sugar free jelly I've found that's only 1 net carb - kroger brand sugar free = 5 g carbs, 4 g fiber...

I've thought about making my own from linda's website - and I am for the most part trying to stay away from splenda - but in those tough times when i reallllly need something sweet - I'd like to have a spoonful of peanut butter and jelly (something I used to do all the time).

    thanks for the info!

It is allowed, but if you have sweet tooth or if artifical sweeteners cause you difficulties, you may want to reconsider them.

I understand. Believe me - I'm really trying to stay away from jams/jellies - but I know I'm not going to FOREVER...so thank you very much. I really didn't know they were allowed.

it's not that artificial sweeteners cause me any "difficulties" per se...just that I lose weight better when I don't eat them.

        Re: Jams and Jellies

I haven't seen the jam/jelly recipes on Linda's site, but I am planning to make my own substitutes - getting them to set with either gelatine, or liqud pectin - think it's called 'Certo' over here. That way I can control exactly what is in them, and make them a bit less sweet than the norm, as my sweet tooth has definitely diminished!
