    Re: Protein

I do go by fitday! That's how I found out that my protein percentage was low and so were the grams of protein I've been eating I will not give up and will keep trying to perfect this!

      Re: Protein

If you are lifting weights the protein is important for your muscles. Another help is L-glutamine as a supplement. It is one of the amino acids that helps rebuild your muscle tissue after a workout and it has the added benefit of being an appetite suppressant (although I never noticed that aspect myself). I have also never seen anything on adverse effects of L Glutamine unlike many other supplements. It's safety was one of the reasons I decided to add it to my daily regimen.

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

          Re: Protein

Now I have another question related to the first 'protein' question: Does the 5% carbs refer to total carbs or net carbs. On fitday, I've been aiming for 5% total carbs. If we're supposed to aim for 5% net carbs, how would I get fitday to reflect that? I just want to make sure I'm doing it correctly.

5% total carbs. But the number is not carved in stone, so don't worry if you have days with 8% or similar.
